The enormous smiles, laughter, joy and excitement make this day the most special in our Variety calendar. Held right across Australia, they’re the biggest parties of the year for kids aged 0 to Grade 6 who are living with a disability, illness or experiencing disadvantage. With performing acts, rides, animals, face painting, stage shows, gifts and (of course) Santa, there’s something for every child to enjoy!

An inclusive experience designed to bring the thrill of motorsport to life, giving children the chance to ride on a real racetrack in a safe and supported environment. With a mix of on‑track excitement and off‑track activities, it creates a day full of energy and fun.

Beyond the adrenaline, the experience is all about building confidence and creating lasting memories. From initial nerves to pure excitement, many leave feeling more self‑assured, connected and inspired by what they’ve achieved.

Providing access to a range of special events, performances and experiences across Victoria, these opportunities help children take part in moments they may not otherwise be able to access, from live shows to major sporting events. They open the door to shared experiences that are often out of reach.

Beyond the event itself, these experiences are about connection, confidence and inclusion. They allow children to feel part of something bigger, creating lasting memories while supporting a sense of belonging in the community.

The Hawthorn Inclusion Match is an annual AFL game hosted by the Hawthorn Football Club, dedicated to promoting accessibility, diversity, and inclusion in sports. Partnered with Variety, the Children’s Charity, the match features specialised sensory spaces, quiet areas, and initiatives to support fans with hidden disabilities.
